Operators are being warned of the immense ramifications of The Heavy Vehicle National Law and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2016 which has been tabled in the Queensland Parliament.

The proposed provisions include greater penalties being brought against COR offenders. It also includes changes in COR laws which would allow proceedings to be brought against parties in the chain, even before an incident happens.

The bill includes a new primary duty section to increase a level of non-transferable duty on parties in the chain.
