Traffic Held Up After Truck Explosion on Brisbane’s M1

Brisbane’s M1 was the site of a truck explosion at Loganholme recently, resulting in the southbound lanes of the Pacific Motorway being closed.

According to reports, the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services worked to get the blaze under control after the truck which was transporting hydrochloric acid exploded.

Queensland Ambulance Services were on the scene and confirmed that the truck’s driver managed to escape the cab of the heavy vehicle unharmed.

Traffic was affected for a significant amount of time.

People in the area were asked to remain indoors especially people with breathing difficulties who were advised to have medication or breathing aids to assist them with breathing due to the fumes.
