It looks like self-driving buses will be a regular feature on Las Vegas roads, despite being involved in a crash within 2 hours of its launch.
According to police, the crash involving the autonomous public transport vehicle and a lorry, was the lorry driver’s fault and the autonomous vehicle behaved exactly as it should have.
The oval shaped shuttle can seat 8 people and although it’s self-driving, it has an attendant and computer monitor.What it doesn’t have is a steering wheel or brake pedals. The vehicle is capable of reaching maximum speeds of 15mph (24km).
