Truck Driver Arrested for Driving Over Alcohol Limit

A truck driver has been arrested for driving over the alcohol limit after he blew 0.132 in a breathalyser test.

Police stopped the truck as part of Operation Interceptor in Port Botany when they issued a breathalyser test to the driver of the B-Double combination, consisting of a prime mover and 2 fully loaded trailers. It returned a positive result.

The 51 year old driver was immediately placed under arrest and taken to Mascot Police Station for further analysis which returned the reading of 0.132.

The driver had his licence confiscated and suspended and an Immediate Notice of licence Suspension was issued.

During the operation the police also stopped a speeding truck driver and one who was driving while under the influence of drugs.
