The NHVR’s changes to its Portal Registration Module will help operators save time and provide the chain of responsibility (COR) support the industry has been requesting. The Registration Module offers real-time access to vehicle registration information, to save time by combining registration information for 905,000 heavy vehicle units registered by state and territory governments (excluding the NT) into one database. This allows businesses across the supply chain to access real time fleet information, which they would have ordinarily had to share via email. The new module is less cumbersome and minimises the administrative load on both parties.
