Truck Thief Caught After Vehicle Gets Stuck on Bridge

A suspect who allegedly stole a truck from a Salisbury South business was arrested after the prime mover he was driving became stuck on a bridge. Police caught the man when the truck became stuck while heading towards Adelaide’s salt flats. The truck was fitted with a GPS device which made it possible for police to track it. Police found the 33 year old man sitting in the driver’s cab of the vehicle after he stole the truck from a suburb north of Adelaide. The truck was found by police wedged on a wooden bridge.The driver was charged with several offences including serious criminal trespass and illegal use of a motor vehicle.
