Beware not to leave your vehicle unattended and unlocked – the consequences of doing so have been highlighted by an incident that happened in Sydney recently.

A man was arrested by police after being detained by construction workers who apprehended him after he stole a truck from a construction site.

The man who was under the influence of alcohol at the time, got into the truck which was parked at the site for the Light Rail construction works. After stealing the 3 tonne truck he drove it into a cafe storefront in Sydney CBD nearby.

Construction workers removed the man from the truck and held him until police arrived and arrested the 33 year old Queenscliff man.
