Queensland’s Logan Highway Congestion Problems Come to An End

Road-users on one of south-east Queensland’s busiest roads can finally breathe a sigh of relief after a 2 year long project to widen sections of the Logan and Gateway Motorways concludes.

The problematic bottleneck at the point where the Logan Motorway connects with Beaudesert Road and the Mount Lindesay Highway has been fixed following the $512 million Logan Enhancement Project which began 2 years ago.

As a result of the project spearheaded by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and her government, the Wembley Road interchange was also improved with a new 4 lane bridge over the motorway, an improved interchange with the Gateway Motorway and new on/off ramps for the Gateway Motorway at Compton Road.

The project means faster trips and fewer traffic jams for trucks and cars, the state government highlighted.
