The Sturt Highway between Waikerie and Kingston on Murray remained closed for hours after a two truck collision recently. One truck was broken down on the road and was hit into by another truck. The driver and passenger of the truck which was moving, were stuck in the vehicle after the crash and had to be freed by emergency services. The other vehicle was unoccupied. Reports say debris was strewn across the highway, blocking the road in both directions. This crash highlights the importance of being alert for stationary vehicles, animals, pedestrians and other unexpected obstructions in the road.
