Australia is known for the road train and Volvo’s global boss Martin Lundstedt recently took advantage of a trip to Australia to get into one these vehicles and experience it first hand.
On a tour of Australia recently, Mr Lundstedt visited the Volvo plant in Wacol, Queensland and the opening of the company’s new Australian headquarters.
Mr Lundstedt made a stop in Port Hedland to have a hands-on encounter with the Australian road train, a 700hp Volvo FH16 with 3 trailers hooked up to it, an experience he could not have had in Europe.
