Truckies Appeal to Holiday Makers not to park in Truck Rest Areas

Every holiday brings with it a dilemma for truck drivers- no where for them to park and rest, as they are required to do by law. This is because holiday makers in cars, caravans and campers take up the parking bays reserved for trucks. Truck drivers say they have had enough of other motorists taking up their designated parking bays over holiday seasons at roadhouses and service stations. These designated parking bays are there for a reason, for drivers to avoid fatigue and therefore make the roads safer. Truck drivers have appealed to other road users to have courtesy when it comes to the holidays and don’t park in their parking bays. Source: www.bigrigs.com.au.
