Road Construction workers are excited by news that more speed cameras will be introduced on Victoria’s M80 Ring Road, between Edgars Road and Plenty Road in Epping, outside Melbourne, as upgrades to the road network continue.
The upgrades will benefit all road users and so drivers should be patient as workers try to complete the improvements as quickly as possible. Many of the accidents which have claimed many construction workers lives are caused because of intolerance and impatience on the part of drivers.
Road signage is now in place, advising motorists that speed cameras operate in the area which will hopefully serve as a deterrent to speedsters. Also the safety of workers has been a major concern for a while which is why the introduction of mobile speed cameras was necessary.
Road construction workers are working to bring about more efficient road ways with less congestion and deserve to make it safely through each day on site.
Motorists need to leave home earlier and anticipate delays if there are road works and should not take their frustrations out on road construction workers.
