Comcare, the federal work health and safety regulator has launched legal proceedings against a national waste management company over a collision in August 2014 which killed 2 people.
The company is accused of failing to provide adequate training and supervision to the truck’s driver and is facing a $12 million fine.
The accident happened in August 2014 when a loaded tanker hit 3 cars after losing control on a steep descent.
Two people lost their lives and 2 were seriously injured including the tanker driver.
