In an effort to educate everyone in the heavy vehicle supply chain of their role in heavy vehicle road safety, the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator has released its first series of educational podcasts and fact sheets.
The material is aimed at highlighting that road safety goes beyond just truck drivers and involves everyone in the heavy vehicle supply chain including schedulers, packers, managers etc.
Six fact sheets and podcasts comprise the new material which Federal Infrastructure and Transport Minister Darren Chester said will help make sure that all parties understand their responsibilities and how to go about preventing breaches of mass, dimension, loading, speed, restraint and fatigue laws.
