Truck drivers usually have a lot of experience on the road and are knowledgeable about road safety, now they are being encouraged to spread this knowledge with their mates, those who drive trucks as well as those who drive light motor vehicles. The campaign launched by the NHVR has even got tv personality Shane Jacobson on board to deliver the safety campaign. The “Tell a mate about heavy vehicle safety” is a campaign delivered by the NHVR to highlight that heavy vehicle safety is everyone’s responsibility, no matter what vehicle you drive.
