Galston Gorge is often in the news and always for the wrong reasons. Once again a truck has caused chaos at Galston Gorge crashing and spilling diesel everywhere. Despite being over-length, reportedly the truck didn’t get stuck but crashed into a bridge at the bottom of the gorge, damaging the bridge and rupturing the truck’s fuel tank. The scene was attended by Fire and Rescue, police and RMS. RMS inspectors inspected the truck and found it to be over length. They issued a fine of $2,270 and 6 licence demerit points.
