The time of day you may want to avoid the roads, if possible is mid afternoon between 2pm and 5pm, according to The Daily Telegraph.
According to a post on News.com.au, the most likely time to encounter a fatigued driver on Sydney roads is when the work day is winding down and not late at night or in the early hours of the morning as one would assume.
The reason for this is because workers who start their days early and tradespeople are usually commuting home at this time and the rush hour overlaps with the school run.
According to the NSW Centre for Road Safety fatigued driving is the second biggest contributor to road fatalities after speeding.
