Sydney police are investigating a hit and run incident in the city’s north west involving a 14 year old boy.
Police believe an Isuzu truck may have been involved, a 2016 -2018 model N Series.
The vehicle failed to stop after the incident and police say it may be missing its left-hand mirror glass and casing.
It was reported that a person passing by found the teenager lying injured on the side of the road and stopped their car and called the police. The boy was suffering from suspected fractures and head injuries.
According to reports the boy was thrown to the southern side of the road by the impact. He tried to walk a short distance before collapsing.
He was treated on scene and airlifted to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for further treatment. He remains in a serious but stable condition.
Police urged motorists to inspect their vehicles for damage, in case they may have unknowingly struck the teen and not even realise it.
