The trucking industry had an opportunity to attend the first NatRoad Regional Trucking Summit in Dubbo last Friday, highlighting the challenges facing the industry in 2017 and into 2018. The NHVR began the summit with a presentation which discussed Chain of Responsibility and how it will affect the industry. All parties involved in the chain of responsibility will need to proactively manage the risks of transport activity. All trucking business owners will need to understand how this affect their business. Another speaker was Paul Endycott from RMS, who spoke about enforcement strategy.
