A pedestrian was killed on a major Melbourne freeway recently after being run over by a car first and then a truck at around 5am.
The identity of the man and the cause of the crash have not been revealed however the investigation is ongoing.
Following the tragedy, all 4 lanes of the freeway at Point Cook Road were closed for several hours, causing a major traffic backlog for kilometres.
This incident brings the road toll on the state’s roads to 161 this year so far.
