A couple on their way to a weekend getaway were recently killed in a crash on The Warrego Highway at North Ipswich. The 57 year old couple were killed after a fuel tanker lost control and crossed the median strip into the path of their minivan. It is believed that the heavy rain at the time had something to do with the crash. The driver of the fuel tanker was treated for minor injuries on the scene but was understandably shaken by the tragic crash.
