A recent post on Fullyloaded.com discussed how a trucking company is improving safety with breathalyser and saliva testing kits, randomly testing employees and drivers.
The company has a contractor fleet of more than 1,800 drivers and vehicles that range from motorbikes to semi-trailers. It’s safety coordinator for Western Australia says that the company conducts dozens of drug and alcohol tests every week.
The testing is conducted randomly without notice to ensure drivers are compliant, not knowing when they will be tested requires them to remain compliant at all times.
